1 Year Later - Where is the mobile game at?
Hey all! Last year, the day after Thanksgiving was when I decided to start the project to re-create RogueSlide in the Godot platform so that I could launch the game on mobile devices. I honestly can't believe the project is not done yet, it has been so much more work that I anticipated. That is totally fine with me though because it has been so much fun for me and incredibly rewarding. That being said, when will the game done?
I am hoping to be done with the game early next year and after a period of beta testing and marketing launch the game on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
What's left to do?
The exciting thing to me about this mobile release is I have taken the time to add things to the game that we wished were in the original game, but never made it into the game. I have added weapons that you can equip, new spells, a shop to buy items, extra bosses, and a meta progression system to unlock the weapons, spells, and other playable characters.
What remains to be added is:
- Logbook for keeping track of what you have completed
- Achievements
- Overall Polish and Balancing
Wow that list is a lot smaller than I thought. Ok cool! Yeah we are looking great to reach my goal of getting launched in Q1 of next year!
